How do I book a travel/trekking program?

From here, we will send you a customized itinerary of your trip as we want you to be 100% happy before you go ahead and book.Once you are happy to proceed, we will request a 20% deposit to secure your place on the trip. Payment can be made online through PayPal or Credit/Debit Card Payments with Stripe or Google Pay. Once authorized, you will receive a receipt of your booking along with further details to prepare you for your upcoming trip!

How to know if I’m fit enough to trek?

Trekking requires good physical fitness. It means you should be able to walk 5-7 hours a day.
If you have some health difficulties, high altitude treks may not be suitable for you. There are trekking packages that offer a lower altitude.
For further advice and a health check to assess suitability, visit your doctor.

How can we get acclimatized in high altitude?

Well, there are several ways that you can follow:

– Starting your trek at a low altitude and trekking slowly towards a higher altitude.

– Trekking to a high altitude but sleeping low is one of the easiest methods.

– Another way is to have acclimatization days where you rest and walk around to get used to the altitude.

– Don’t sleep at anything above 500m per day.

– Eating soup and drinking warm beverages keep you warm and energized.

Do I need Sun Protection?

Yes. You will be walking in the sun all day. The sun is more powerful in the high altitude due to the cold and hot mixture.
Skin may burn easily and eyes can become sensitive. So, bring sun block cream and UV ray protection glasses.

What if I get altitude sickness or any injuries during trekking?

High altitude sickness is a commonly asked question. It’s important to be clued up on this before trekking.
Our guides are first aid trained and in the case of an emergency if there is no local medical access, helicopter evacuation may be required.
Evacuation is the last resort. We suggest trekking to a lower altitude or taking a rest day if you start to feel unwell or need assistance.

Are solo female travelers safe when travelling in Nepal?

Nepal is generally safe for female travelers. Of course, use common sense and take general precautions such as not going out alone at night or with strangers.

What should I pack for the trekking?

Packings depend on the trekking you are going to do. If you are going to the alpine trekking, you need warm clothes, windproof and down jacket and other things. If you are doing lower altitude trekking, less equipment is required.

What foot wear is recommended?

Comfortable boots with thick sole and warm woolen socks are necessary for the trekking. If it is alpine altitude, bring more spare socks.
You can bring slippers or sandals for the evening to allow your feet to breathe.

How much can a porter carry?

Generally porters carry 15-20 kg baggage when trekking. Avoid packing unnecessary baggage.
Most hotels and hostels have storage options for you to keep your things safe while you trek.

Should I tip my guide and porter?

Tipping is not mandatory, but it is expected. They work hard to make your trek as comfortable and easy as possible.

How much money should I bring along?

We provide food and accommodation along with any transportation service on the fully inclusive trips.

However, if the trip is extended on your interest or due to unavoidable situation, you need to cover the extra cost. Also, bring extra cash if you want to have the things not included in our cost.

There are no ATMS in rural areas of Nepal so make sure you have enough cash with you.

Will I have signal while trekking?

Mobile phone connections are available in many parts of Nepal, but may be limited in rural areas. WiFi and data signal is available but the higher you get on your trek, hotels and lodges may charge you.

As a solo traveler, should I pay extra charges?

You don’t pay any extra charges even if you are a solo traveler when you book our packages. However, the cost of solo traveling and traveling in a group certainly differ when travelling independently.

Can I get a refund if I don’t finish the trek?

If for some reason you are not able to finish your trek, unfortunately, we can’t refund you in this situation as it accommodation and other services will already be booked and non-refundable.
In some situations, we may be able to offer an alternative trip as an exchange.

Do I need Travel Insurance when trekking?

Trekking is an adventurous activity, so you need insurance. Travel insurance helps you to be evacuated in the emergency and covering the medical cost.
When booking your insurance plan, make sure you check if you’re covered for the altitude you will be reaching as many insurance policies don’t cover any further than 3000ft.

Where do we eat our meals?

We will mainly eat at local teahouses. They offer typical Nepali food and sometimes international foods.

Where will our drinking water come from?

Mineral water bottles can be bought in many parts of the trekking areas. However, we recommend taking your own water bottle.
The water is cleaner in the mountains and you can drink it with a purifying tablet.

What is involved in camping trekking?

There may be times where you may have to camp if there are no available teahouses to stay and eat at. There will be kitchen staffs and porters that will cook and serve your meals and sleep in tents.

Do I need a visa for Nepal?

You need a visa to enter Nepal. You can get a tourist visa when you arrive. The maximum stay is 150 days per calendar year.
In other situations, get a visa before you travel. Contact your local embassy for details. You need a valid visa in your passport to leave Nepal.


Do I need a guide? Can’t I guide myself if I’m experienced?

Many trekking trails go through isolated regions of the countryside and into the wilderness of forest and grasslands. When trekking with a guide, you can assured that you will not get lost or stranded in the dark between villages. Guides know the trails and villages well.

If some emergency occurs, your guide will assist you. Your guide is first aid trained, can communicate with the local people if needed and know where to get further medical assistance if needed.

If you choose to trek alone without a guide, it is at your own risk. Please do your research and be very prepared beforehand.

Who can go trekking?

Are there any age limits for the Himalayan trekking?

Nope. We have a range of family-friendly treks.

Lower altitude regions are more suitable for family trips. Some children and seniors have completed high altitude trekking like Everest Base Camp trek. Age should not be a barrier.

What about the difficulty of trekking?

Trekking is adventurous. There are short treks that are more suitable for those with a basic fitness level.

We also have challenging adventure treks for those with an advanced fitness level.

The difficulty level depends on the specific trips.

Do we need previous walking experience?

Previous trekking experiences are really helpful, especially to trek in the high/alpine altitude. But, it is not mandatory.
Your guide will direct and advise you on everything you need to know and do during your trip.

What’s the best time to go trekking in Nepal?

The best time for to trek in the Himalayas is Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). The weather is clear, dry and not so cold during these seasons.

Beside this, Nepal has multiple regions that are suitable to travel in monsoon and winter too.

The Dolpo region and Upper Mustang region are suitable to trek in monsoon.

Lower altitude treks in Annapurna, Manaslu and other parts are suitable for winter trips.

Generally, yes. Trekking usually goes through the National Park or Conservation Areas. To enter, you need to show your permit. TIMS card is the identity of the trekkers, which is also compulsive.

If it is not a preserved area, you do not need permits. There are some restricted parts as Dolpo and Upper Mustang that require restricted area permits.

We will advise you of these procedures when you book your trek program.

How long will we be walking each day?

For most of the treks we have available, you need to be able to walk at least 4-6 hrs each day. There may be some days where you will be walking for about 9-10 hours.
You walk approximately 5-15 kilometers each day, depending the trail and altitude level.

What accommodation will we stay in when trekking?

Most of the trekking trails have basic lodges, which is also called tea houses. They are cozy, basic and adaptable.

What is teahouse trekking?

Teahouse trekking is a lodge based trekking. It is the most common form of today’s trekking where you stay in local lodges and eat there.

Cancellation Policy

If you have to cancel the trip, you have to write us and get the acknowledgement of the company. Then deducting the cancellation charge, the company will finalize it.
For the trip cancellation of Tibet and Bhutan, you need to let us know a month prior.
To cancel the Nepal, you have to let us know 10 days earlier of the trip date.
